Privacy Office as a service FAQs

What is Privacy Officer as a Service (POaaS)?

Privacy Officer as a Service gives organizations on-demand access to experienced data protection professionals who fulfill the role of a Privacy Officer or privacy advisor. It is ideal for meeting regulatory requirements like PIPEDA, CCPA/CPRA, and ISO 27701 without the commitment of a full-time internal hire. For organizations with EU or UK operations, our team also covers GDPR and UK data protection requirements.

Who needs a Privacy Officer or DPO?

Organizations that process large volumes of personal or sensitive data, conduct regular monitoring, or operate in regulated industries may be required to appoint a Privacy Officer under PIPEDA or applicable provincial legislation. Others choose to do so voluntarily to strengthen governance, reduce risk, and demonstrate accountability to clients and regulators.

What does Integrity360’s POaaS include?

The service includes outsourced DPO representation, privacy programme development, DPIA support, policy creation and review, training, incident and breach response, data subject request management, and ongoing privacy advisory services.

How is this different from hiring a full-time DPO?

With POaaS, you gain access to a team of experts for a fraction of the cost of hiring a full-time DPO. The service is scalable, responsive, and backed by wider cyber and legal expertise, ensuring well-rounded, practical support.

How is POaaS delivered?

Integrity360 provides virtual and/or on-site support depending on your needs. A named privacy lead acts as your point of contact, supported by a team of specialists in data protection, security, and legal compliance.

Is this service suitable for SMEs?

Absolutely. POaaS is designed to be flexible and cost-effective, making it ideal for SMEs who need expert guidance but don’t have the resources for an in-house privacy function.

What makes Integrity360’s POaaS offering different?

Integrity360 combines legal, security, and privacy expertise to offer a truly integrated service. Rather than taking a checkbox approach, we help design privacy into your operations, balancing compliance with real-world practicality.
