NIS2 Services

The NIS2 Directive is the EU-wide legislation on cyber security

The NIS2 Directive (Network and Information Security Directive 2) is a significant enhancement of the original NIS Directive, aimed at bolstering cybersecurity across the European Union. Adopted in response to the growing threats to critical infrastructure and essential services, NIS2 expands the scope of sectors required to comply with its stringent security measures. This includes not only traditional sectors like energy, transport, and healthcare but also newer sectors such as digital services and public administration.

NIS2 mandates higher standards for risk management, including incident response, supply chain security, and business continuity planning. Organisations covered under this directive must implement robust cybersecurity measures, regularly assess risks, and report significant incidents within tight deadlines.

Additionally, NIS2 promotes enhanced cooperation between EU member states, facilitating a more coordinated response to cross-border cyber threats. By setting a unified standard for cybersecurity, NIS2 aims to protect the EU's digital economy and ensure the resilience of its critical infrastructure against evolving cyber threats.

NIS 2 Requirements

  • Conducting risk assessments

  • Continuous staff training on security protocols

  • Establishing incident response procedures

  • The appointment of a designated contact point for cyber security issues

  • Supply chain security measures

Gartner Recognised

We are thrilled to share that Integrity360 has been recognised as a Gartner Representative Vendor in 4 of their Market Guides, including: Managed Security Services, Managed Detection and Response and Managed SIEM Services.

Gartner has included a range of providers within its market guide for managed services to ensure clear coverage from a geographical, vertical and capabilities perspective. Those included in the Gartner market guide display clarity in the vision for an end-user outcome-focused offering distinct from a pure technology-driven offering.

NIS2 FAQs

What is the NIS2 Directive?

The NIS2 Directive is the EU’s updated legislation on cyber security for essential and important entities. It expands on the original NIS Directive, requiring organisations across critical sectors to implement stronger security measures, conduct risk assessments, ensure supply chain security, and report incidents promptly.

Who does NIS2 apply to?

NIS2 applies to both essential and important entities across sectors such as energy, healthcare, finance, transport, water, ICT, digital infrastructure, manufacturing, and public administration. It also includes certain digital service providers and their key suppliers, even outside the EU if they serve EU markets.

When did NIS2 take effect?

NIS2 came into law on 17 October 2024. Organisations should be well underway with gap assessments and planning to ensure compliance before enforcement begins.

What are the key NIS2 requirements?

Key requirements include:

  • Comprehensive risk management measures

  • Incident detection, reporting, and response processes

  • Regular vulnerability assessments

  • Business continuity and crisis response plans

  • Secure supply chain practices

  • Governance and accountability for cyber risk

  • Designated contact points for cyber security coordination

How can Integrity360 help with NIS2 compliance?

Integrity360 provides end-to-end NIS2 support including gap assessments, remediation planning, technical and procedural control implementation, board and executive education, and ongoing managed services to ensure continuous compliance and resilience.

Does NIS2 apply to UK-based organisations?

Yes, in some cases. If a UK organisation provides services to customers or users within the EU, it may fall under NIS2’s extraterritorial scope. Integrity360 helps UK firms assess their obligations and implement necessary controls.

What should organisations do now to prepare?

Start with a NIS2 gap assessment to identify shortcomings. Prioritise risks, enhance detection and response, secure third-party relationships, and define roles and responsibilities in line with the directive’s requirements.

What makes Integrity360’s NIS2 service different?

Integrity360 blends technical cyber security expertise with deep regulatory knowledge. We offer practical, risk-based guidance tailored to your sector and size, with proven delivery across EU-regulated sectors and support from dedicated compliance consultants.
