Job Role & Responsibilities

This is a technical role within the company.  You will be a member of our busy, fast paced IT Services and Support department. You will be involved in providing support in resolving user support tickets and technical issues within the business primarily around enterprise user support. However, you will also be responsible for assisting in implementing upgrades, along with other exciting projects by using your knowledge and expertise in IT, in an environment which encourages development.  You will be working alongside the Core Systems team to ensure department provides the best enterprise wide support to the business on a day to day basis.  

The ideal candidate will possess fluent written and spoken English, as well as proven experience in several of the following areas of responsibility. 

Experience of managing and/or understanding the following is required:  
  • VMware vSphere 7 
  • Windows Server 2008 R2-2019 
  • Windows 10 Professional/Enterprise 
  • Configuration and Administration of Active Directory and Group Policy Objects 
  • Windows Deployment Services & Microsoft Deployment Toolkit & Remote Assistance Tools 
  • Office 365, Exchange Online, Azure, Intune, SharePoint and Teams  
  • Basic scripting in PowerShell 
  • IP Telephony and VoIP 
  • Experience with Mobile Devices and Mobile Device Management (Windows Mobile, Android and iOS)  
  • Basic Understanding of VLAN’s, Routing and Wireless  
  • Experience with Trend Micro Antivirus, Qualys is a plus  
  • Ability to understand modern security requirements around large enterprise systems 
  • Provision of first level workstation, printing, network, and mobile device support to staff 
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus and anti-spam and provide remote support
  • Perform on-site monthly server and workstation maintenance routines 
  • Management of helpdesk tickets from first response to resolution, providing a high level of communication and interaction with the affected staff 
  • Escalation of issues to senior ITSS team members, other internal technical teams, and suppliers/vendors as necessary 
  • Involvement in systems patching/upgrades and vulnerability management, both during and outside regular business hours as necessary 
  • Management of the company’s internal telephone systems and audio visual/conferencing equipment 
  • Participation in the management of the company’s on-premises and cloud-based systems & services. 
  • Involvement in ITSS projects and initiatives to ensure software and hardware currency across the company’s infrastructure 
  • Clear and timely communication of any IT issues or planned changes to management and staff 
  • Provision of clear and concise documentation for ITSS systems and processes 
  • Interaction with external suppliers of IT/telephone equipment and services 
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience  
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly 
  • Ability to manage time effectively, to work under time pressure, to meet schedules and deadlines, and pay close attention to details

It is desirable to have a degree in a Computer Sciences or equivalent discipline, particularly any current and relevant Microsoft or VMware certifications.  While qualifications are desirable, a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and a working knowledge of ITSS systems and processes would give a very strong advantage.
