Job Role & Responsibilities

Candidates in this role will oversee and coordinate the activities of Security Operations Center (SOC) personnel and implement security assessment and incident response protocols. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to our Security team, coach personnel on technical issues and verify that they follow SOC policies to ensure all components are functioning optimally. Must establish and maintain metrics that help provide a high level of productivity, supportability, and operational readiness while also participating in project planning activities such as infrastructure enhancements and change management controls. You will communicate with management and serve as the organisational point of contact for business-critical incidents. You will provide overall direction for the SOC and input to the overall security strategy of the company.

This role will lead a team of Security professionals, varying in levels of experience and roles within the organisation to:

  • Coach, guide, mentor, develop, and lead a team of security professionals to high performance
  • Help our teams become smarter, faster, and better at what we do, while maintaining a strong focus on quality
  • Advise and guide your team on the latest trends, threats and policies within the IT Security Industry whilst defining our processes and procedures to ensure we remain agile, fast and efficient.
  • When threats and vulnerabilities emerge you will work with our CTI function to provide detailed reports and advise to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the team is an assembly of highly skilled, talented and motivated Security professionals.
  • As part of the managerial obligations, you will assist each team member in identifying a career road map ensuring your team are motivated to achieve certifications, develop their customer skills whilst also delivering a best in class security service.
  • You will be regularly encouraged to challenge processes within the business ensuring we are working in the smartest way possible.
  • There will be a requirement to understand Service Level Agreements and ensuring your team are meeting all SLA’s with our Customer Base. In conjunction with this, you will support our Service Review calls/meetings with our Customers ensuring your team and Integrity360 are meeting all of their expectations.
  • Serve as a recognized Subject Matter Expert in cyber security activities.
  • Act as incident manager for security alerts and participate in incident triaging for timely resolution under defined SLA.
  • Interact with multiple stackholders whenever required and assist them in closing the security incidents.

Required Skills & Experience

You should have experience in the following areas:

  • A proven track record in leading information security teams.
  • Experience with security technologies including Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Web and email filtering, Firewalls & Log Analysis, SIEM, Network Behavior Analysis tools, Antivirus, and Network Packet Analyzers, and Malware analysis and forensics tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to be challenged and learn
  • Solid experience in providing detailed technical expertise on security within enterprise environments.
  • Strong collaborator with team-oriented attitude
  • Excellent English written and oral presentation and communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

SANS certifications are desired with additional security certifications, such as CISM/CISSP, an advantage

  • Forensics and Incident response experience is an asset
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of ITIL
  • Hands-on experience with incident handling and incident response.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work with product management to develop new security offerings
