Job Role & Responsibilities

Cyber security testing includes penetration testing and red team assessments. Penetration testing is an independent assessment of the different elements that comprise an information system or product with the goal of finding and documenting the vulnerabilities present. Red teaming takes cyber security testing to the next level – it is a goal-oriented approach to assess an organisation’s ability to defend itself in real time against a simulated targeted stealth attack. The resultant report is considered with threat reports and other information sources to derive a risk assessment that can be used to drive security improvements.

The role of a Cyber Security Test Consultant is to:

  • Ensure that any testing activity is lawful, compliant with all relevant regulations and within the agreed scope
